Tunnel Wash uses the latest technology from the USA that includes Softec cloth materials that do not scratch or mark the surface of your car or dull your clear coat finish. It is safer than hand washing. We entrust your car to a combination of high tech computer controlled wash equipment & systems. You will ride through our 45 metre express tunnel wash from our twin pay stations within a 4 minute time frame. Tunnel Wash is all about having the Quickest, Cleanest and Greenest Wash available.
Helping the environment is one of our main goals. We reclaim up to 80% of our water and all of our cleaning solutions are biodegradable and environmentally friendly. We dispose of our waste water by first removing solids, and then directly disposing the remaining liquids into the sanitary sewer system where it is properly treated and processed.
We encourage you to bring Dura-sealed vehicles through Tunnel Wash for this will only enhance and protect it further and also make your vehicle look far cleaner.
Having a clean car obviously keeps your car looking newer for longer. But there are other more technical reasons to keep your car clean. Dust, sand and dirt are miniscule, abrasive particles that can attach themselves to your paint finish. If your car is not washed on a regular basis, these particles can literally scratch the finish off your car. Some substances such as bird droppings or tree sap can even eat through your clear coat, leaving your car finish unprotected and vulnerable to wear and tear.
While we do have certain restrictions on what we can and can’t safely wash, we’ve worked hard at providing our customers with the best carwash technology available to give them a clean, dry and shiny vehicle. Your vehicle will not be harmed in any way in the process. In fact, in many instances washing your vehicle at Tunnel Wash is quicker, cleaner and uses much less water than washing it by hand.

Through a thorough interview process of car wash customers recently, it was apparent priority for the customers was the demand for a fast, high quality carwash. These days, most of us put a premium on our time, so we focus on giving our customers the highest quality carwash, and greatest service available, in the shortest amount of time possible. Your time is precious and we will not waste it.
Tunnel Wash uses a computerised tyre application and process that cleans wheels and shines your tyres. This process removes dirt, brake dust and road grime and brightens the walls of your tyres. Tunnel Wash does not use corrosive or acid chemicals and only uses soft brushes on the wheels and tyres (note this is the only brush we use in our Tunnel Wash) so your alloy wheels are perfectly safe.
Tunnel Wash uses a conveyor that keeps cars moving even if there are a few cars in line. The entire wash cycle lasts no longer than four minutes and since there is no waiting for the car in front of you to finish, you will rarely spend more than five minutes from the time you pull in, to when you are out of the carwash. We can wash up to 200 cars per hour! Therefore we are the most efficient way to wash your vehicle.
Tunnel Wash accepts Credit cards, Eftpos, Apple Pay, Tunnel Wash Prepaid cards and Tunnel Wash App payments.
At Tunnel Wash we use powerful dryers, blowers and a super dry & shine system at the end of the wash cycle. This removes most of the water used in the rinse cycle of the car wash. There will however, always be some amount of water left on the car. But because we use a Spot Free Rinse comprised of pure water from our Reverse Osmosis Filtration System, any remaining water left on the car will dry within minutes, without leaving spots on your car.
Tunnel Wash wants nothing but the best for its customers. Your satisfaction is our greatest desire, and we mean to provide it. If you are pleased with our service and want to return, we could have no greater reward.
Our 6 bay vaccum Island is free for up to 4 minutes when purchasing a Gold Wash with which you will receive tokens from our pay stations. Otherwise they are available for use 24 hours a day and run on a coin operated system.
A university study carried out in the USA actually shows that washing by hand at home can be one of the worst ways to wash your car. It concluded that a single wash at home can leave scratches of up to 10% of the total thickness of a vehicles paint. This same situation can exist in commercial hand car washes, where the same sponge or rag is used from one vehicle to the next and moves from wheels containing harsh brake dust and compounds directly onto your car’s clear coat. Another very important fact is that every time a vehicle is washed at home, in the driveway or street, all of the water containing uncontrolled detergents, dirt, oil and brake dust run into the stormwater drain, ending up in our rivers, streams, bays and waterways, polluting our swimming areas and having devastating effects on aquatic life and the environment. At Tunnel Wash, all of our runoff is collected and goes into tanks where the solids are collected and disposed of in accordance with strict ECAN and CCC requirements and the wash water is recycled, with any excess sent to and processed through the sewerage system.
The short answer is a resounding NO. In fact, with the latest hi tech materials, Softec Cloths combined with advanced chemistry, waxes and computer controls, not only do we not scratch or mark your car, our wash process actually has the effect of polishing it, leaving it brilliantly clean. With the addition of our Super Dry & Shine, your vehicle will be polished to a high shine leaving it brilliantly clean.
No, but do you wash your hands without rubbing them together? Do you wash your clothes without agitation? Do you keep your teeth clean just by gargling water and mouthwash, or do you brush them? It is very difficult to get anything really clean without contact or friction, even with high pressure and harsh chemicals like many touchless washes. That’s why at Tunnel Wash we use closed cell foam and Softec Cloth material. We also use safe, biodegradable detergents to gently clean your car. It is the best way to get it clean without scratching or marking your vehicle or dulling its finish.
Weekly. Washing once a week will properly maintain the paint and exterior of your vehicle and will only keep enhancing the value and quality of it and its features.

Yes. The Tunnel Wash carwash uses a softec material and mild soaps and detergents. However, a newly painted car will need to allow time for the paint to cure before washing. Please consult your body shop for curing times. This does not include new cars, as the paint on a new car will be completely cured before delivery.
Yes. Items left in your ute bed (if left uncovered) can become projectiles and can cause a safety hazard. Therefore, for the safety of you, your vehicle and other customers, we require your ute bed to be empty and clear.

A bug shield is an aftermarket accessory made of plastic. We cannot be responsible for this item however, most customers who have bug shields on their vehicles wash their cars with no incident.
Yes. However, it is good to keep in mind that when a windscreen is damaged (even with the smallest of chips and cracks), it is more susceptible to quick changes in temperature, so while you may wash with a cracked windscreen, it is at your own risk.
