    PART A: Weekly Wash Club Frequently Asked Questions

    How does it work?

    The WEEKLY WASH CLUB is vehicle specific membership that entitles you to wash your vehicle every 7 days from the commencement of your membership. The membership can only be associated with one vehicle and an e-tag is fixed to your windscreen to enable entry to the Tunnel.

    How do I enter the Tunnel?

    Simply drive up to the boom gate and our systems will wirelessly read the e-tag fixed to your windscreen. When the boom gate opens please proceed slowly into the Tunnel when directed by one of our staff.

    How often can I wash?

    You may wash your vehicle once every 7 days that Tunnel Wash are open within a monthly period. Unused washes are not accumulated, and our system calculates the 7 days from the date of your membership commencement. Tunnel Wash will only close on specified public holidays, please refer to our website for further details.

    What if I change my vehicle?

    If you purchase a new vehicle, simply contact us to update your vehicle profile and install a new e-tag – email us at: info@tunnelwash.co.nz

    No Lock-in Contracts

    There is no lock-in contract, minimum term or hidden exit fees – we keep it simple. To cancel all we need is 14 days’ notice before your next billing date and you may continue to use the wash up until your expiry date. No refunds or credits will be given for partial periods.

    How are you charged each month?

    WEEKLY WASH CLUB charges your credit card once per month.

    What is the set-up fee for?

    The set up fee is only charged as a one off fee to establish you in our system and provide you an individual digitised    e-tag for your vehicle.

    Can I still use the vacuum stations?

    The vacuum use is not included within the Weekly Wash Club membership fee but a customer is able to purchase tokens for the vacuum onsite at any time or simply use $1 or $2 coins on the vacuum stations.

    What happens next?

    After receipt of this completed form and first initial payment is made, Tunnel Wash will arrange a suitable time for the placement of your e-tag sticker to your vehicle windscreen before your first use.  For more information please call or visit us and the manager on duty will be very happy to assist you.

                                                                                                                         

    PART B:   WEEKLY WASH CLUB Terms and Conditions

    1. WEEKLY WASH CLUB allows one wash each week during a monthly period for the registered vehicle.
    2. WEEKLY WASH CLUB is purchased with a credit card only. The fee for the first month is charged to the customer’s credit card following acceptance of this agreement.
    3. The monthly fee is charged to the same card automatically each month until the agreement is ended by either party.
    4. Entering into this agreement requires installation of an e-tag on your vehicle’s inside front windscreen.
    5. To cancel a membership the customer must make their request in writing via mail or email to Tunnel Wash. The customer’s request must be received 14 days before the next billing date. No refund or credit is given for any unused portion of a plan due to early cancellation.
    6. The customer must contact Tunnel Wash to change any information details (eg: vehicle, email, or credit card information) that might affect their membership. 
    7. If Tunnel Wash is unable to charge a credit card for any reason, we have the right to continue the attempt to process payments until such time that we receive communications from you to terminate this agreement, as per clause 5.
    8. The customer must notify Tunnel Wash if the registered vehicle’s e-tag becomes damaged, the vehicle is sold, or the windscreen is replaced. The e-tag will be de-activated and a new e-tag issued.
    9. All e-tags remain the property of Tunnel Wash and must be surrendered upon request or if the agreement is ended. If an e-tag is tampered with or used in any way inconsistent to these terms and conditions, the agreement will be terminated, and all monies paid will be forfeited. Failure to return the e-tag or if an e-tag is misused on an unauthorised vehicle, additional charges will be charged to the customers credit card on a cost recovery basis. 
    10. WEEKLY WASH CLUB is valid at any Tunnel Wash during normal business hours. Tunnel Wash is closed on all public holidays. Tunnel Wash may also close during inclement/severe weather conditions, or for any unforeseen circumstances if necessary.
    11. Tunnel Wash is able to transfer the membership billing to the Tunnel Wash location that is used the majority of the time with seven days written notice to the customer.
    12. No other coupons, discounts, or special offers are valid with the WEEKLY WASH CLUB except any promotion on the set up fee which is only redeemable at the time of commencement of a membership.
    13. We are able to change our pricing and terms and conditions without notice, including hours of operation. In the event that pricing or terms and conditions change, the new information will be posted on the Tunnel Wash website. Price changes will take immediate effect for new customers and may apply from the next billing date for existing customers.
    14. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you also agree to our general terms and conditions that can be found on our website at tunnelwash.co.nz or in our onsite office. 
    15. Tunnel Wash may terminate the agreement at any time if the customer fails to comply with our terms and conditions.

    PART C: Auto Express Wash Limited General Terms & Conditions

    Auto Express Wash Limited (“Trading as Tunnel Wash”) is a professional vehicle express tunnel washing service that uses the very latest in high-tech express tunnel wash systems to keep your vehicle safe from damage during the wash cycle.

    Procedure during Wash

    Your health and safety are our primary concern at Tunnel Wash. You must follow all directions by our attendants while on the premises and comply with our health and safety policy at all times. Our health and safety policy can be found on our website at www.tunnelwash.co.nz or in our onsite office. 
    During the wash process please:

    1. a) follow all directions from signs, our attendants, and on your radio 
      b) remain in your vehicle unless instructed otherwise by our attendants. Failure to do so may result in damage and/or injury
      c) leave your vehicle running and in NEUTRAL
      d) ensure vehicle brakes are NOT engaged 
      e) set your steering wheel so your vehicle drives forward and do not interfere with it at any time 
      f) keep your radio on and tuned to our prescribed channel 
      g) When you see the light turn green at the completion of the wash, put your car into “drive” and exit the Tunnel Wash.                           

    Limitation of Liability 

    Vehicles

    At Tunnel Wash, we consistently exercise the utmost care with every customer’s vehicle. However, given the varying condition of the vehicles entering our premises, Tunnel Wash will not be liable for any damage or loss caused or related to any:

    1. pre-existing damage whatsoever including but not limited to:
    2. a) cracked, chipped, or tinted windows
      b) cracked or faulty bonnets, windshields, headlight protectors, loose mud-flaps, side skirts or bumpers
      c) Paintwork - oxidised, chipped, blistered, flaked, corrosive or non-existing clear coat deposits
    3. windscreen adhered accessories such as GPS’s, mirrors, etc
    4. windows, sunroofs, open well-side utes, left open during the car wash; 
      4. automatic door locks, kill switches or alarms;
      5. any non-factory installed items, or modifications including but not limited to:
    5. a) antenna’s 
      b) Roof accessories – vehicles fitted with roof accessories to the roof of the vehicle or deck of the vehicle, will not receive a top wrap or top chamois, to prevent damage to vehicles. Tunnel Wash is not liable for any damage to roof accessories or damage caused to the vehicle.
      c) vehicle graphics                           
    6. Collisions in the Tunnel Wash caused by your fault or negligence
    7. We are not liable for any damage or breakages caused to any vehicle over 10 years of age. Including but not limited to hard plastics, wiper arms, mirrors, rubber sills etc.
    8. If you suspect any damage of any kind has occurred to your vehicle at Tunnel Wash you must report this to our staff before leaving the premises. Tunnel Wash will not be liable for any damages of any kind to your vehicle after your leaving the premises.

    If you believe your vehicle will have an issue with any of the above limitations, please kindly advise one of our customer service attendants in order for Tunnel Wash to take the necessary precautions to prevent any further damage or loss.

    All users must remain in vehicle at all times whilst in the Tunnel Wash.                                                                                                                                              

    General

    1. Tunnel Wash will not be liable for any damage, injury, or loss, including death, to person or property, that is caused by the customer breaching or failing to comply with our instruction, or terms and conditions, and in particular our health and safety policy.
    2. You agree to indemnify Tunnel Wash for any liability resulting from damage or injury to a third party caused in whole or part by your fault or negligence to comply with our instructions, or terms and conditions, and in particular our health and safety policy.
    3. Tunnel Wash will not be liable for any consequential or special loss, or loss of profit whether in contract, tort, equity or otherwise. 

     

    Acceptance

    By using our services these general terms and conditions of trade are deemed accepted by you including our privacy policy and health and safety policy which can be found on our website at www.tunnelwash.co.nz  or in our onsite office. 
    Tunnel Wash appreciates your acknowledgement and acceptance of the above terms and conditions prior to entering our premises.
                                                                               

    Privacy & Legal

    AUTO EXPRESS WASH LIMITED (“trading as Tunnel Wash”) understands that privacy of your personal information is important and is committed to ensuring the secure and proper use of all information collected.  This privacy policy sets out Tunnel Wash practises relating to the collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information in general terms under the Privacy Act 1993.

    Tunnel Wash may amend this policy from time to time as per our business requirements or due to legislative changes.  If we decide to change our privacy, the updates will be reflected in this policy.

    The Information We Collect:

    The types of information we collect from you will depend on the circumstances of collection and on the type of service you request from us, without limiting the type of personal information we may collect from you the following are a list of examples of collection

    • When you request services/products from us, we may collect personal and/or business information such as your name, address, company details, billing address, credit card information, email, and phone contacts.
    • When you are applying for a fundraising opportunity with us we may collect information for the purpose of assessing your sponsorship application.
    • When you access our premises, we may take video recordings of your vehicle to identify any pre-existing damage on your vehicle and registration numbers of vehicles.

    • Be used for a lawful purpose.

    The purpose of the collection will be clear and explicit.  Where practicable, the purpose for which we collect personal information and the consequences of not providing it will be made clear at the time of collection.

    3. Any other Tunnel Wash commercial or business use
